of The Health Resource

Let me be frank. When it comes to healthcare for myself and loved ones, I insist on being an educated consumer. So on any important illness or condition I want to be well informed. And I'll pay a reasonable fee for help in achieving this.
I was trained as a physician and a medical researcher. Thus, many of our friends find it surprising that when I want a literature report on an illness or medical condition I turn to The Health Resource. They ask me "Can't you do it yourself? Why not use the Internet?"
Well, here's why. The Web accesses such a huge volume of medical literature that the search engines often yield me several thousand entries for a disease. I, frankly, don't have time to click on and scan all these myself, let alone read each in depth. Picking any one or a few would be like "spinning the roulette wheel".
Instead, I prefer to pay The Health Resource library experts a reasonable fee to have them search for me, and send me an individualized binder filled with copies of the most important and most interesting articles.
And they can focus down if you need that. For example, once when I was concerned about a particular aspect of my blood lipids, I asked them to report on a narrow topic. Not just "cholesterol", but on "the effect of a common blood pressure pill on levels of triglycerides" Lo and behold, along with a bunch of interesting articles, their loose-leaf compilation included an actual copy of the one scientific paper squarely "on target". Even my own internist had never mentioned it!
So look, I don't advise going without bread or electricity to find the money to order one of their tailor-made medical literature reports--compiled just for you. But if you're willing and able to spend a few extra bucks on being a better-educated patient or relative, I definitely recommend The Health Resource service as a priority investment.
